Wake windows at the three-month mark

The stretch

Awake windows commonly lengthen to about 75–120 minutes around three months — enough for a feed, a proper play block and a wind-down before the tank empties.

The window anatomy

Feed at wake-up, active play in the middle (tummy time, tracking games, the floor gym), calming tail end — dimmer, slower, quieter. Loading play early and calm late makes the nap landing smoother.

Is this normal for your baby?

FirstWeeks answers with your baby’s age and today’s log in mind — with pediatric sources attached.

Overtired vs undertired

Fighting sleep with crying and arching commonly means overtired (window ran long); playing happily in the crib for 20 minutes then fussing commonly means undertired (window ran short). Adjust by 10–15 minutes, not by an hour.

The last window is special

The stretch before night sleep commonly runs longest. A consistent wind-down ritual there — feed, sack, song — is the anchor that survives all the coming sleep weather.

Pencil, not pen

Growth days, vaccine days and leaps bend everything. The log's weekly view shows your baby's real windows better than any chart from the internet — including this one.

Less guessing tonight

Track the evening in one tap — then ask what it means.
